John Ngida is a part-time tutorial fellow for the BSA Actuarial Science Course. His main areas of focus are Risk Modeling, Credibility Theory, Life Insurance and Longevity Analysis.
Ngida holds a first class honors degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Nairobi as well as an MSc. in Actuarial Management from Cass Business School, London. He is an Associate of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (UK).
Prior to joining Strathmore as a faculty member, Ngida worked as an Actuarial Officer at the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) from 2016-2018. He also worked at Alexander Forbes Financial Services (East Africa) Limited (now Zamara Consultants and Actuaries) as an Actuarial Analyst from 2014-2015.
Ngida is currently the Actuarial Manager at Geminia Insurance Company Limited.
