The goal of the Community Outreach Programme (COP) is to enhance the quality of life of the people around it by connecting the knowledge and resources of the University to the country’s evolving economic, social and community needs. COP collaborates with students, staff, alumni, private sector and government in partnerships which contribute to finding sustainable initiatives that meet community needs.
In all its work, COP emphasizes student and staff participation with the aim of equipping them for a lifetime of outreach and volunteerism. Within this context, the University is keen to engage its students and staff in volunteer projects that expose them to the realities of the community and make them agents of change in their communities.
