The Strathmore Centre for Value Investing forum, was well attended by students excited to learn and grow in the field of investment. The forum was the first journey into greatness for Strathmore Centre for Value Investing (SCVI) Research Centre students.
SCVI is a research centre, which focuses on analysing and making publications on macroeconomic phenomena and key financial issues in Kenya and around the world.
At the forum, the SCVI insight team, which is the publications arm of the Research Centre, was introduced. The Publications Manager talked about what drives the insight team and their main publications, the weekly digest and the monthly report. The two publications contain the latest in economic news and trends in the world of finance.

Our very own Vice Chancellor, a great Mathematician, Prof. John Odhiambo closed the forum, appreciating the efforts put since the inception of the School of Finance and Applied Economics (now Strathmore Institute of Mathematical Sciences), stating that the school is bearing much fruit.
I look forward to being a part of the SCVI journey, and to soon have it as a household name.
