CFC Stanbic Bank Making Dreams a Reality: Scholarship Benefactors Speak Out

Veronica Njeri, Rachael Akinyi and Veronica Nzula’s future would have been rather uncertain, if it were not for CfC Stanbic Bank Scholarship, which made their career dreams come to life. The three young ladies who are the privileged benefactors from the School of Finance and Applied Economics, have their stories affirming; where there is will, there is definitely a way.

This is one of the success stories enumerating Strathmore’s cordial relationship with CFC Stanbic Bank, in making quality education accessible to needy and smart students. With the bank ranking as the leading African services group with universal capabilities, the enterprise is growing strong on showcasing the vital gears of Africa’s futuristic development sector; which in this case is uplifting and empowering potential filled students.

For Veronica Njeri Nduati- one of the benefactors, the Sunday 29th June, Daily Nation Newspaper, will remain as one of her best investment. She saw the CFC Stabic Bank Scholarship call out from the paper and she immediately knew that her ray of hope had just dawned. She speaks passionately of her pursuit to the grant, with occasional remarks of gratitude, reckoning her journey.

Veronica’s story is not far off from Rachael Akinyi’s. She first saw the EABL Scholarship call out from a newspaper, and this intrigued her into exploring other scholarship opportunities. That was when she stumbled upon the Bank’s scholarship call out, which gave her the opportunity to pursue Actuarial Science. Her blessing disguised in ripples of doubt, she tells of the miraculous unfolding which bore her the full four-year sponsorship. Unable to contemplate on the happenings, Rachel still speculates on the amount of trust CFC Stanbic Bank has, on their education and potential; something which will always offer her motivation.

Sharing on her experience, Veronica Nzula Musyoka is still astounded by the turn fate took. “I came to enrol for ACCA, since that was what I could afford. Even though I wanted to pursue Financial Economics, it was way above my reach,” she remembers. She took that leap of faith in applying for the CFC Stanbic Bank scholarship, which she made the threshold, hopefully getting the opportunity to enrol for the course of her desires.

Suffice to say, CFC Stanbic Bank is making dreams come true for young achievers.
