Linda Chaba

Linda Chaba completed her BSc in Statistics and MSc in Biometry at the University of Nairobi. She is currently pursuing her PHD in biostatistics at Strathmore University. While a graduate, she worked at Kenya Medical Research Institute/University of Washington’s project as a statistician and Data/IT coordinator. In 2011, she joined Strathmore University as a graduate assistant and appointed assistant lecturer immediately after graduating with her master’s degree. Since then she has been teaching mathematics and probability & statistics courses.

Research Interest

Linda’s main areas of research are in copulas modelling, microarray studies, Bayesian and spatial statistics. She welcomes research proposals in any area of applied statistics in the business, agricultural and medical fields.

Linda is currently working on A Copula-Based Approach to Differential Gene Expression Analysis as part of her PHD work.
