I am a Doctoral Fellow at the Strathmore Institute for Mathematical Sciences. My PhD research is in BioMathematics, specializing in infectious disease modelling. I hold a Master of Science degree in Mathematical Sciences from the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (South Africa) and a second Master of Science Degree (Cum Laude) in Mathematics from Stellenbosch University (South Africa). I am also a trained teacher with a First Class Honours degree in Education Science (Mathematics/Chemistry) from Moi University (Kenya).
I have a three years working experience in universities having worked as tutor co-ordinator at the African Institute for Mathematical Science in Tanzania. While in South Africa, I also worked for one year as a teaching assistant in the Mathematics Division at Stellenbosch University.
Alongside teaching, I also support the MACHEO programme under Community service Center at Strathmore University. I have developed an academic program that would hopefully improve the learning outcomes in the program.
