Research Interest

  • Student mathematical thinking, how it can be used to enhance understanding of Mathematics. Ongoing preliminary study on how to support pre-service teachers in identifying the mathematical idea underlying student thinking.

  • How pre-service teachers learn. Ongoing study of how pre-service teachers make the transition from a procedural to conceptual  understanding of number concepts.
